Industrial Age Game board
Problem: I was asked to create a board game on the Industrial Age of Technology to play with the family. The board game had to be based on things about that age. The Industrial Age was when electricity was invented. With the electricity came the light bulb, cars, airplanes, factories etc. The board had to be bigger than a sheet of paper. It had to be creative . On the project we could use a game that was already invented and then use our age of technology to innovate the game. We could create a new board from scraps or use an old game board then paint over it to make it fit the theme. Solution: For my board game I choose to innovate the board game Candy Land and the card game Wars by combining the two. I used a project board that i bought from the store. The board was plain and white so I used orange construction paper to cover it up to look more interesting. I drew the trail on another paper then cut it out and glue it on the board. I added things from the Industrial Age on the board. I used white construction paper to make the cards for the game. I created my own playing pieces from clay and color construction papers. I molded the bottom of the pieces from air dry clay and the light bulbs from paper. Evidence: Feedback I kind of did not like this project because I don't it was challenging. I believe that there was no real problem to solve. The project was so simple, it felt like a middle school level and not a high school level. The only thing that made the project hard was finding time to finish. Time management is always hard for me because of all church related things happens each week. Overall the project was pretty easy.
